Getting a VPS to run the Binary Options Auto-Trader is a very good idea if you can't let your own computer run everyday from 6am to 6pm GMT to get every signals. A VPS is a "virtual computer" that you can rent and access to remotely. This computer never stops so the AT would never stop either. Any VPS with windows and at least 1Go of free RAM will work fine with the AutoTrader. We are going to show you how to set all this up with for example VPS.net :
- Go on VPS.net. Click on "Cloud server" and choose the number of nodes you want. Each node represent an amount of power that you want for your virtual computer. We advise getting at least 2 nodes as Chrome and the AT are going to need a lot of RAM, especially if you want to autotrade on multiple brokers simultaneously.
- Sign up for this VPS, then log into your account. Click on "Create New VPS".
- On Step 1, select the cloud closest to you country, then "Least Used" then "Windows" then "Windows 2008 Standard Edition x86". On Step 2, assign all the nodes you purchased. On Step 3, enter whatever you want like in the examples. Then let Step 4 and 5 as are, and click Create.
- On the details of you new VPS, copy the IP Adress and Initial root password.
- Now, on you personal computer, open Windows > All programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection and input the IP Adress of your VPS.
- When prompted, enter username "Administrator" and your Initial root password. You are now connected to your VPS.
- Open Internet explorer and download Google Chrome for http://chrome.google.com . The VPS might ask you to add the address to your "trusted websites". Click "Add" then "Close".
- Follow the classical steps of installing the auto-trader like you would do on your own computer.
- Once the Auto-Trader is up and running, you can close the Remote Desktop Connection tool. The VPS will stay on running with the AT. You're done! Just connect back from time to time to check on the results.
